Sammy Don Masner, 67, of Kennedale, Texas, was called home on April 23, 2026. Sam was born in Breckenridge, Texas, to the late Dewey David Masner and Theresa Frances (Stewart) Masner.
On June 20, 1992, Sam married the love of his life, Sandra (Yates), and together they shared over 33 years of marriage. He was a devoted husband, a proud father, and a true family man. His greatest joy was spending time with his son, Dustin A. Masner, who was also his best friend. Sam especially cherished hunting and fishing with Dustin and took great pride in teaching him the family business.
Sam was a longtime local businessman and a respected member of the community. For over 35 years, he owned and operated Memorial Monuments in Fort Worth, Texas. He was known for his strong work ethic, integrity, and dedication to serving others. Sam also believed deeply in the value of second chances—he understood that people can grow, change, and learn from their mistakes. He was often willing to offer support and opportunities to those trying to rebuild their lives, reflecting his compassion and belief in the good in others.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents; and his twin brother, Scotty Jon Masner.
Sam is survived by his loving wife, Sandra; his son, Dustin; his brother-in-law, Randal Yates; his sister-in-law, Brenda (Bob) Smith; his uncle and aunt, David E. and Shirley Stewart; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will cherish his memory.
In honor of his mother and a cause close to his heart, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
