Ronald David Ranck

Ronald David Ranck, 84, passed away January 12, 2026.

Ron will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather as well as a friend. 

Ron was born November 27, 1941 in Lancaster, PA to Clarence and Corinne Ranck.  He grew up in Lancaster where he attended J.P. McCaskey High School.  

Ron retired from the Air Force as a Master Sergeant after 35 years - 4 active duty and 31 with the Air Force Reserve. He worked full time for the Department of Defense in the Human Resources field retiring as the HR Director in 1999 after 40 years.  

He met his wife while in the Air Force and they married soon after he was discharged from active duty.  He enjoyed watching the Cowboys and Rangers and also playing golf.  

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Carol; son, David (Karen) of Seagoville, TX; daughter, Sandra Sikes of Crowley, TX; brother, Dan (Ded) of Lititz, PA; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.  

Graveside service: 3:00 p.m. Friday, January 16, 2026 in the Crowley Cemetery, 300 N. Hampton Rd, Crowley, TX 76036.

In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
