Robert James Collison

Robert James Collison, 26, passed away on July 31, 2025.  Born November 25, 1998, he was known as a kind and loving person. 

The son of Karen K. Whitaker and Stuart Alan Collison, Robert came from a big and loving family who will miss him greatly.  Half-brother, Kyle Whitaker, niece, Katherine Whitaker, maternal grandmother, Karen Whitaker, paternal grandparents, Robert and Shirley Collison, aunts and uncles, Robin and Ron Davis, Michele and Scott Bailey and Jeff Collison and cousins, Alex Upward, Chloe Lancaster, Kennedy Lancaster, Grace Collison and Sasha Collison, and many special relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Whitaker and nephew, Alexander Whitaker.

Robert grew up playing many sports but had an immense passion for golf.  From the time he was two years old he could be seen with his grandfather most days of the week either walking or riding in a cart at the course.  His nickname from other members was "French Fry", as he would be seen eating a big plate of fries after coming off the course.

Robert attended Southwest Christian Academy, Arlington Heights High School and Tarrant County College. 

Robert's legacy will live on in the hearts of all that knew him and he will be deeply missed. 

Funeral Service: 6:00 p.m. Friday, September 12, 2025 at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home, 4350 River Oaks Blvd., Fort Worth, Texas 76114.   Private interment in Bogota, Texas.
