Rebecca Gaye Walker, born September 14, 1954, in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Henry E. and Thelma Berenice (Jackson) Walker, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas.

The youngest of four children, she was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Berenice, and her brother Stephen Walker. She is survived by daughter Emilia Gridina of Fort Worth; brothers Henry E. Walker, Jr. (Wendy Walker) of Fayetteville AR; James R. Walker (Robin Walker) of Newtown CT; several nieces and nephews; and “Team Becky” (close friends); all of whom she loved so very deeply.

Becky had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and attended the Fort Smith public schools, Westark Junior College (University of Arkansas Fort Smith) and the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. Her academic knowledge was rounded out with her musical knowledge shown in her accomplished piano playing, beautiful voice she gifted to so many, love for God’s creation in nature, the beauty of the arts she experienced in her extensive travels, and her own drawings in recent days.

After college, Becky moved to Fort Worth, Texas and began her career with Alcon Laboratories as a secretary. As with all things she set out to do in her life, Becky worked hard and steadily climbed the ladder at Alcon to VP of Quality and Central Operations, R&D, strategically guiding many along the way. She finished her career in the Legal and Compliance area at Alcon. She was passionate about mentoring and supporting those around her both professionally and personally. She received awards and recognition throughout her accomplished career.

After receiving Christ when eight years old at Calvary Baptist Church of Fort Smith, Becky was as a member of University Baptist Church and finally Broadway Baptist Church in Fort Worth, serving faithfully on several committees for the past 25 years.

Becky was unfailingly generous. She gave selflessly to multiple charities and organizations, including Samaritan House and Big Brothers Big Sisters (Becky provided love, support, and guidance to a Little Sister; and raised funds for the organization: Golf Tournament, Angel Tree, and Bowling for Dollars).

Becky’s sense of humor and love for great repartee were some of our favorite things about her, along with her unfailing faith, strength of character, and her love for family and friends.
