Mary Emma Lewis Hennessy

Mary Emma Lewis Hennessy, 95, died February 11, 2022 in Bee Cave, Texas after living with Alzheimer’s Disease. Born near Hico, Texas, in 1926 to Robert Lee Lewis and Josie Gertrude (Vincent) Lewis, she attended St. Joseph’s for nursing school.She married John A. Hennessy, a veterinarian, in 1950. She had three sons and was very active in their education and upbringing. They lived in Edgecliff Village where she was active in the Garden Club, the Veterinary Auxiliary, and St. Joseph Alumni Association. She was a Catholic, and was active at St. Bartholomew and St. Andrew parishes.Preceded in death by her husband, John, and her son, John A. Hennessy Jr., she is survived by sons, Pat Hennessy and wife, Cindy, of Hico, TX, and Paul Hennessy, of Austin, TX; and sisters, Marguerite Mosser and Stella Lewis.
