Martin James Keoughan IV, 63, of Fort Worth, TX, died unexpectedly on March 22, 2026.
He was born in Fort Worth, TX in 1962 to Dorothy Walker Keoughan and Martin James Keoughan III. Martin attended Holy Family Catholic School, Nolan Catholic High School, and Southwest Texas State University. He worked for many years as a general manager of high-volume warehouses and earned a relaxing retirement. Martin enjoyed spending time with his family, usually at a soccer field somewhere cheering on his daughters. His favorite hobby was bragging about his wife, daughters, and granddaughters. He was also a dedicated son, brother, and uncle, and was very proud of his Irish heritage. He also enjoyed getting his daily lotto ticket and talking about what he would do when he won. He could frequently be found at various gun shows around DFW and loved making conversation with other attendees. He was a lifelong fan of Dallas Stars hockey, and even more so of any teams his daughters played soccer for.
In his retirement he enjoyed sitting outside observing the neighborhood birds and squirrels, spending time with his dogs (and frequent foster rescue dogs), and watching his favorite game shows. His proudest accomplishment in retirement was being Papa Mart to his granddaughters. Martin was compassionate, loving, generous, stubborn, and most of all goofy. He never missed a chance to crack a joke, and loved making others laugh, usually while sporting a bright colored Hawaiian shirt.
Martin was preceded in death by his father, Martin James Keoughan III, and mother, Dorothy Walker Keoughan.
He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Moore Keoughan; daughters, Kathleen (Travis) Sparks and Emily (Jason) McConahey; and granddaughters, Bowen Sparks and Birdie Sparks. He is also survived by sister, Kristy Keoughan Parker (Eric Bierbrier); nephews, Andrew Parker, Maxwell Parker, and Mason Holtz; and niece, Anna Graves (Ryon Ruffner).
