Malachi Calvon Hansard, affectionately known as Mali, 21, of Ft Worth, Texas, departed from this life on October 11, 2025. Leaving behind a legacy of laughter, kindness, and boundless love that touched the lives of many. Although God called him home at a young age, Malachi's impact will last a lifetime.
Malachi was a blessing from God to Precious Hill and Todd Hansard on January 29, 2004, in Topeka, Kansas. He has always been an exceptional son. From the moment Malachi came into this world, he was a shining light to all those who knew him.
He was a vibrant and caring person who had a natural gift for connecting with and helping others.
He would walk into a room and light it up with his smile. His energy was loved by all he was in contact with.
He was a beloved brother, a constant source of support, security, and trust for his siblings.
Malachi and his sisters, Takiah and Shayriah were fortunate to live in and explore different states throughout his life.
Malachi spent his early childhood in Topeka, Kansas where he attended Scott Elementary School.
He spent his middle childhood in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he attended Kipp Preparatory School and played on the basketball team. He spent his adolescence and early adulthood in Ft. Worth, Texas where he was a 2022 Graduate of Southwest High School.
Time with his family brought Mali the most joy. He enjoyed hanging out with friends and loved his dog, Draco. He took the best care of Draco. Malachi liked fishing, bowling, rapping with his sisters, and playing online games with his family and friends. He loved spending quality time with his mom having game nights.
Malachi enjoyed manual labor and was employed with Amazon.
Malachi enjoyed spending time in Colorado with his Aunt Sheena and Uncle Mike during the summers. He gained employment with FedEx where he was a hard-worker and proved his dedication and desire for growth and discipline.
His father’s favorite moments with Malachi were watching Marvel movies, playing video games, and competing one-on-one on the basketball court. He was an amazing big brother and shared a special bond with Jaylen. He was deeply prayed for and loved by his grandparents, aunts, uncle, and cousins.
Malachi was proceeded in death by his paternal great grandmother, Lula Kelley; grandfather, Calvin Hill; step-grandfather, James Wright.
He is survived by his mother, Precious Hill (Pierre Johnson); father, Todd Hansard (Petrice); sisters, Takiah Shahid, Shayriah Bowens, Zaya Hansard; brothers, Jaylen and Jeremiah Hansard; great-grandmother, Bobbie Jean Boykins; great grandfather, William Kelley; maternal grandmother, Sharon Wright (Kenneth Lately); paternal grandparents, Sherman and Janie Hansard; great-grandmother, Rosetta Taylor: step-grandmother, Carolyn Hill; aunts, ChrisSheena Jackson (Mike), Jamie Wright, Tasha Hansard, Amy Freeman (Howard); uncle, Sheon Hansard (Jeannie); Timothy Shahid, who loved and helped raise Malachi during his early childhood; and many cousins, great aunts, great uncles, and countless friends.
May Malachi's memory be a blessing, and may we honor him through a life of intent, compassion, and love, as he did.
