Gloria Helen Myers peacefully passed away on June 12, 2026, at the age of 93.

Gloria was born on September 3, 1932, in Harlingen, Texas, where she graduated from high school and met the love of her life, Ralph Myers. They later made their home in Fort Worth, where Gloria lived in the same house for more than 50 years. Gloria and Ralph were members of Westcliff United Methodist Church, now Arborlawn United Methodist Church. Just as they shared a lifetime of memories, they will now share a beautiful, eternal home together in the Arborlawn United Methodist Church Columbarium.

Gloria’s favorite word was “joy,” and she embodied it beautifully. A devoted loving mother to Russell and Daniel and their families, she gave us precious memories and life lessons. Likewise, friends and neighbors have shared her remarkable gift for making others feel welcomed and loved. She cherished weekly gatherings filled with conversation, laughter, crafting, and sharing her faith.

She embraced sewing with enthusiasm, creating more than 1,000 pillowcases for children at Cook Children’s Hospital. Gloria delighted in life’s simple pleasures: searching for treasures in antique shops, baking homemade treats, quilting, exchanging stories, and tending the flowers in her meticulously cared-for, award-winning garden.

Her generosity was evident in countless acts of service. To generations of family, friends, and neighbors, Gloria was a steady and joyful presence whose smile lit up every room and made everyone feel loved.

Gloria was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Ralph Myers; her sister, Teenie Bennett; her brothers, Chuck Bothwell, Bud Bothwell, her twin, and Bob Bothwell; and her granddaughter, Jennifer Chandler.

She is survived by her sons, Russell Myers and his wife, Kristy, and Daniel Myers and his wife, Rose; her grandchildren, Shawn and Tyler; eight great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Those who knew Gloria count themselves blessed to have shared in the joy she so freely gave.

The family extends its deepest gratitude to VITAS Hospice for their compassionate and excellent care.
