Gerardo Valdez Amador

Gerardo Valdez-Amador, lovingly known to family and friends as “Lalo,” passed away on April 17, 2026, at the age of 38.

Lalo was born on September 5, 1987, in Zacatecas, Mexico, to Hector Valdez and Sandra Valdez-Amador. He was known for his remarkable generosity of spirit and his warm, welcoming personality that made others feel like family.

A devoted father, Lalo took immense pride in his two children and loved them deeply. He was a passionate fan of the Dallas Cowboys and enjoyed playing fantasy football. Above all else, he treasured the time spent with his family and friends, creating memories that will be cherished forever.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hector Valdez, and his brother, Isaac Valdez-Amador.

He is survived by his loving mother, Sandra Valdez; son, Isrrael Castañeda; daughter, Arianna Valdez; niece, Isabella Valdez; nephew, Hector Valdez; and many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him greatly.

Lalo will be remembered for his kindness, laughter, loyalty, and the love he gave so freely to those around him.
