George Albert Cooper was born in Gilham, Arkansas to Luvena and William Cooper on February 18, 1924. He came to Fort Worth to live with his uncle HR Stewart when he was 10 years old where he learned how to milk cows, run a dairy and run a milk route selling and delivering milk. He was drafted into the Army in 1944 and was stationed in the Philippines during fighting in World War 2. After that he spent a year in the military occupation of Japan.

He married Bonnie Faye Barnett in 1956. After his retirement from his career at General Dynamics, he loved to travel with Bonnie and Kathy all over the country in their RV. They even drove their truck and camper to Alaska. They were members of Campers for Christ camping club for many years and have many friends from that time.

He loved to tell stories from his life and from his military service to anyone willing to listen. His stories were interesting to everyone so he was able to repeat them frequently.
