Gary Joe Mckinney

Gary Joe McKinney, 67, passed away Monday, June 26, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.

Memorial Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home, 4350 River Oaks Blvd.

Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park at a later date.

Gary was born on April 12, 1956, in Fort Worth to Charlene and Billy Joe McKinney. He loved his Harleys, animals, taking care of people and was a protector of the underdog. Gary will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Gary was preceded in death by his mother, Charlene Boman McKinney; brother, Bill Plumlee; grandparents, Emmett and Mattie Lou Boman; Newman and Irene McKinney; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Survivors: Wife, Karen McKinney; father, B J McKinney; sister, Debbie Potter and husband, Joe; special angel and caregiver, Amanda Hencke; his beloved dog, Cricket; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
