On February 16, 2026, Deborah M. Gamboa was called home to be with the Lord and reunited with her long-awaited husband. She passed peacefully with her daughter and son-in-law by her side.
Deborah was born on July 2, 1954, in Nashville, Tennessee. She later moved to Chicago, Illinois, where she raised her four children. In 1981, she married the love of her life, Hipolito Gamboa. Together, they moved to Kansas, where Deborah attended night school and earned her Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification.
She devoted many years to caring for the elderly, serving with compassion, dedication, and kindness. After retiring, Deborah spent her remaining years surrounded by her loving family.
She cherished taking her grandchildren and great-grandchildren camping and fishing whenever she could. Time spent outdoors making memories with her family brought her immense joy.
Deborah was loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed. She often said, “Don’t cry for me—just look up and know that I’m watching over you.”
She is survived by her four children, many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who will continue to carry her love and legacy forward.
