Curtis was born on June 2, 1964, in Yokosuka, Japan, at the military hospital, to Marilyn and Arthur Christensen. He lived life with his hands, his heart, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors. Curtis enjoyed rebuilding muscle cars, hunting, fishing, and spending time outside—places where he felt most at peace.
He owned and operated a paint and body shop, a venture that later evolved into a calling: teaching paint and body work to high school students. Curtis took great pride in mentoring young people, passing on not just technical skills, but patience, discipline, and a strong work ethic.
Curtis also shared a special bond with his son through their love of museums, spending countless hours exploring exhibits together and appreciating history and craftsmanship.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marilyn and Arthur Christensen, and his brother, Jay Christensen.
Curtis is survived by his loving wife, Sheila Chenevert Christensen; his daughter, Lyndsay Erichsen and husband Riley; his son, Alexander Christensen and wife Meghan; his cherished grandson, Wyatt Christensen; his sister, Lori Christensen Holcombe; his niece, Jessica Perry and husband Richmond with son Hayes; his nephew, Scott Holcombe; and extended family members who will miss him dearly.
