Chris Kirchem

Chris Kirchem, of Texas, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2026. He was born in March 1962 to Ted and Frances Kirchem.

Chris truly had a wonderful life. He shared that life with his beloved wife, Jennifer. They were married 30+ years and built a home centered on faith and family.

Chris was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer; his daughters, Emory and her husband, Matthew, Bethany, and Trinity; and his treasured granddaughter who brought him immeasurable joy.

He is also survived by his siblings, Steve Kirchem, Karen Hallmark, Toni Duncan, and Missy Scarborough, along with their spouses and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever be cherished. Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Frances Kirchem, as well as his grandparents.

Chris dedicated much of his professional life to the aerospace industry. He proudly worked for Lockheed Martin for 38+ years before continuing his career with L3Harris. He was respected for his strong work ethic, dedication, and commitment throughout his career.

A man of deep and lifelong faith, Chris was a devoted Catholic who lived his life rooted in his relationship with Christ. He was a cherished member of Good Shepherd Catholic Community, where he found strength, fellowship, and purpose among his church family.

Chris was known for his love of football. Whether cheering on his favorite teams, watching games with family and friends, or discussing the latest football player trades, football was one of his greatest passions. He also had a love for cooking, which was one of the many ways he showed his love for others. He loved preparing meals for his family and friends, creating moments of connection, comfort, and memories around the table. More than anything, Chris loved spending time with his family, celebrating life's milestones, and creating lasting memories.

Chris will always be remembered for his kind heart, unwavering love for Jesus Christ, his family, quiet strength, steadfast faith, and the many ways he gave of himself to others. His legacy lives on through those who knew and loved him and he will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.

A Rosary and Funeral Mass celebrating Chris's life will begin at 12:45 p.m. on Friday, August 14, 2026 at Good Shepherd Catholic Community in Colleyville, Texas.  A reception will immediately follow the Mass.
