Charles Edward “Chuck” Buckner, born January 18, 1953, passed away on January 21, 2026, at the age of 73. Chuck lived a life defined by quiet strength, integrity, and service to others. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, sibling, uncle, and friend whose steady presence left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
Chuck owned and operated his own HVAC company, where he was known for his honesty, skill, and compassion—often helping those in need without expectation of recognition. He also served as a United States Navy veteran, reflecting his lifelong commitment to duty and responsibility.
For nearly 25 years, Chuck volunteered with Little League Baseball, including many years as the Texas District 7 Administrator. Though he never played baseball himself, he earned widespread trust and respect for his fairness, calm leadership, and dedication to the families and communities he served.
Chuck was married to his late wife, Deborah Buckner, for nearly 36 years. They were married on August 17, 1979, and shared a life rooted in love and loyalty until Deborah’s passing on July 19, 2015.
He is survived by his children: Blake Buckner; Aaron Buckner, his wife Gean, and their son Murat; and Brandie Smith and her husband Robert; along with his sister-in-law Patricia Caldwell, family friend John Chesney, and many extended family members and friends.
Chuck will be remembered as one of the quiet leaders who held society together—steady, humble, and always willing to show up. He will be deeply missed.
