Betty White Leggett

Betty White Leggett peacefully passed away at age 96 on June 26, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband, Turner Dalton Leggett; her parents, John L. White and Ora F. Pritchett White; and siblings, James L. White, Rual F. White, Frances C. White and Viola White Robison.

Betty was a graduate of Arlington High School, class of '47.   After graduation, she went to work for the credit manager of Leonard's Department Store.  In 1950, she married Turner Leggett and they began to raise their family.

Following his untimely death in 1972, she re-entered the work force as a church secretary.

She continued to work for 39 years at Meadowbrook Church of Christ, followed by Bridgewood Church of Christ after a merger.

She is survived by her two daughters, Jan Ferguson and husband, Jim, and Linda Muller; several nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the compassionate caregivers of Valor Hospice and Forum Parkway for the kindness, care, and support they provided.  

A private Graveside Service for family is being held at Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery.
