Annette Margaret (Margi) Goodman of Fort Worth, passed away peacefully of complications of Lymphoma on July 15th, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family.

She was born in Iowa to Ralph and Frances Brown, and grew up in Chicago where she attended private school, graduated, and attended Northwestern University while modeling. She later graduated from the University of Chicago with a degree in Interior Design, where her early years reflected her poise and refinement that would define her through her life with impeccable taste and her eye for design. It was the same with fashion and how she carried herself.

On June 4, 1974, Margi married Gerry M. Goodman, the love of her life. They just celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary, building a life marked by commitment, resilience, and enduring partnership, while raising several loving West Highland Terriers especially Higgins, Annie and now Bentley.

Margi was a proud member of (ASID) the American Society of Interior Designers and worked for Sanger Harris in their design department and Gabbert’s before opening her own design firm, Goodman Interiors, in 1982. She held an interior design license from the state of Texas. She would quickly turn any room into a place of class and dignity, and had an infectious and effervescent personality.

She worked on some of Fort Worth’s finest and most prestigious homes and ranches, also working on cruisers and a ship in Galveston belonging to a Fort Worth Oilman and his wife.

She was a member of Christ the King Episcopal Church, a 50-Year Member of Ridglea Country Club, and former member of Shady Oaks Country Club, the Fort Worth Club and the Petroleum Club.

In later years, Margi fought a long and hard battle with Lymphoma and Macular degeneration, but met each day with resilience, focusing on her family and the life they shared together.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Gerry M. Goodman, a son, Kraig Eggsphuler, and wife Gwinn; her daughter Kathi Cusing and husband, Frank of Jackson, Mississippi, 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimber Lynn Stevens and son, Christopher Eggsphuler

A special thanks goes to Dr. Asad Deen, Dr Christopher Pratt, Dr. Bill Mitchell and RN Jamie Lynn Torres who provided Margi excellent care.

A memorial Service will be scheduled for a later date and all donations should be directed to the Saving Hope Animal Rescue, 6708 South Hulen Drive, Fort Worth, Texas 76133.
