Listen to Obituary

With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Alex Kostenko, who entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on June 23, 2026, following a courageous battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD).

Alex will be remembered for his gentle spirit, quiet strength, kind heart, and enduring love for his family. Above all, he treasured being a father. His children were the greatest blessing of his life, and his love for them remained steadfast through every season.

As people of faith, we find comfort in the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ and rejoice that Alex is now at peace in the presence of his Savior.

Alex was preceded in death by his father, Peter Kostenko; his brother, Vladimir Kostenko; and three heavenly children.

He is survived by his beloved children, Luciano, Taisa, Nathaniel, and Celine Kostenko, and by their mother, Nadia Kostenko, with whom he shared the blessing of raising their family. He is also survived by his mother, Taisa Kostenko; his brothers and sisters; extended family; and many cherished friends.

Although ALS gradually diminished Alex's physical abilities, it never diminished the strength of his character, the dignity with which he faced his illness, or the deep love he held for his family. Those who knew him will remember his gentle nature, quiet resilience, thoughtful spirit, and unwavering love for his children.

The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the physicians, nurses, caregivers, the hospice team, and all those whose compassionate care, kindness, and unwavering support brought comfort and dignity to Alex throughout his illness.

A Celebration of Life honoring Alex will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Thompson's Harveson & Cole, 4350 River Oaks Blvd., Fort Worth, Texas.  In accordance with Alex's wishes, there will be no public visitation.

While our hearts grieve his earthly absence, we take comfort in the hope of the resurrection and the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ. Alex's greatest legacy lives on through his children, who will continue to honor his memory by carrying forward the love, faith, and values he instilled in them.
